Over 120 highly competitive participants took part in the Sports Day Games at Coogee Beach Club in Sydney. From the sack race and obstacle course to a a crowd-dividing tug-of-war, only one team was crowned as the ultimate champions. Thanks to the incredible support of QE Foodstores, who generously donated BBQ delights, goodie bags, and prizes brimming with treats for our winners. Thanks to drink donations from Fellr, Gage Roads, and Heaps Normal, ensuring everyone was hydrated and happy throughout this unforgettable event.
Amy Wood, Michael Woolston, Beth Tighe, and William Gudgeon completed the 3 Peaks Challenge. From the rugged heights of Ben Nevis to the epic climbs of Scafell Pike and Snowdon, they conquered the three highest peaks in Scotland, England, and Wales. Not only did they tackle 23 miles and 3,000 meters of ascent, but they also raised over £2,000 to support Research Schizophrenia.
On World Schizophrenia Day, we hosted a workout on Bondi Beach followed by an invigorating ice bath session. Post-workout, attendees were treated to acai bowls kindly donated by Bare Naked Bowls and matcha and iced coffees donated by Harry's Bondi and Chapter One.
Luke Ridsdale, Robbie Gill and Elliott Fudge took on a tough 31-mile mountain race in the Isle of Man, hoping to finish in six hours. However, the steep peaks, unpredictable terrain, and cloud-covered ridges made it much harder than expected. There were times they feared getting lost and very nearly ran off piste, but they pushed through and completed the race in almost nine hours.
Surrey Cricket Club donated tickets for their T20 County Championship match against Glamorgan at the Kia Oval London.
